Longtime School Official Dies in Pennsylvania Plane Crash

Sam Ganow, 65, was killed when his twin-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Chester County Airport.
Ganow served as the Octorara Area School District board president for 26 years, making significant contributions to education.
The crash occurred near an Amish house, narrowly missing it and causing no injuries on the ground.
Ganow was also known for his involvement in the international skiing circuit and his participation in marathon races.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
