Longtime Captain Jordan Staal Signs 4-Year Extension With Hurricanes

Staal and the Hurricanes have agreed to a new 4-year contract worth $11.6 million.
The deal will keep Staal in Carolina through the 2026-27 season.
Staal is a two-way center and leader who helps drive Carolina's top-notch defense.
Although Staal's offense has declined, he remains an important presence for the young Hurricanes team.
Carolina is coming off an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
