Long Beach Baseball Club Names Finalists, Opens Vote on New Team Name

Team leaders will treat votes as feedback before a January 2026 name-and-brand reveal.

Overview

  • Finalists are Long Beach Coast, Long Beach Parrots and Long Beach Regulators, a nod to Warren G’s “Regulate” that the partial owner reportedly favors.
  • Voting runs Oct. 22–29 until 11:59 p.m. PT with ballots accepted online and in person at sites including Long Beach Airport, the Michelle Obama Library and SteelCraft.
  • Organizers tallied 4,862 inputs to date, including 3,888 submissions from 34 states and 974 in‑person ballots across Long Beach.
  • Votes will inform, but not determine, the choice as the club will select the name internally and debut the full branding in January 2026.
  • The independent club targets games at Blair Field in 2026, with lease talks ongoing, and is slated to be the Pioneer League’s 13th team.
