Overview

  • A Beechcraft B200 Super King Air on a medical charter plunged into a fireball seconds after takeoff on July 13, killing both pilots and two medical crew members.
  • All flights to and from Southend have been cancelled or diverted, grounding dozens of services and prompting passengers to seek alternatives through airlines.
  • Essex Police and emergency agencies have enforced a wide cordon, evacuated nearby Rochford Hundred Golf Club and Westcliff Rugby Club, and maintained the scene overnight.
  • Zeusch Aviation confirmed its SUZ1 flight was involved in the accident and is cooperating fully with authorities and the AAIB.
  • AAIB’s multidisciplinary team remains on site collecting wreckage and data, with no preliminary findings released as investigators work to determine the cause.
