Traffic delays in London cost drivers an average of £942 each, amounting to an estimated total of £3.85 billion for the city.
Roadworks on key routes, such as the M25 Wisley interchange, were cited as major contributors to congestion in the capital.
While London saw only a modest rise in delays, other UK cities like Manchester experienced sharper increases, with a 13% jump in lost hours.
