London Gears Up for Major Police Operation Ahead of October 7 Anniversary

Thousands are expected to participate in a pro-Palestine march organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign on Saturday, with a counter-protest by Stop The Hate planned along the same route.
A memorial event organized by Jewish groups, including the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Jewish Leadership Council, is scheduled for Sunday in Hyde Park.
The Metropolitan Police have warned against hate crimes and support for banned organizations, emphasizing that such actions could lead to arrests.
Commander Lou Puddefoot stated that the police are prepared to ensure safety and intervene if protests cross into criminality.
The police have been in contact with event organizers and community partners to provide reassurance and maintain a visible presence in areas with heightened fears.
