Logan Clegg Sentenced to Life for Murder of Retired Couple in New Hampshire

Known as the 'Mountain Dew Man', Clegg was found guilty of all charges including second-degree murder and falsifying physical evidence.

  • Logan Clegg, 27, was sentenced to two consecutive sentences of 50 years to life in prison for the murders of retired couple Stephen and Djeswende 'Wendy' Reid.
  • Clegg, known as the 'Mountain Dew Man', was living in a tent in the woods near the couple's home in Concord, New Hampshire, and had been camping there for months.
  • The Reids were shot multiple times on a trail near their home in April 2022. Their bodies were found days later, dragged into the woods and covered with leaves, sticks, and debris.
  • Clegg was found guilty in October of all nine counts he faced, including four counts of second-degree murder, one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and four counts of falsifying physical evidence.
  • After the murders, Clegg attempted to flee, burning his tent, erasing his computer, and buying a bus ticket out of Concord. He was eventually arrested in South Burlington, Vermont, with a one-way plane ticket to Berlin, Germany, a fake passport, and a gun in his backpack.
