Overview
- A passenger discovered a loaded magazine with ten hollow-point rounds near seat 7A during boarding for a return flight to Cincinnati around 4:30 p.m. on 9 November.
- The magazine bore the inscription "K H," according to Atlanta Police, who said it was found on an Airbus A320 at Gate C-6 in Concourse C.
- APD coordinated with TSA, Homeland Security, the Department of Aviation, K-9 units and Frontier staff to deplane the aircraft, conduct a full sweep and re-screen all passengers.
- The FBI was notified, no additional items of concern were found and the flight departed safely just before 8 p.m. after a multi-hour delay.
- Frontier said the ammunition belonged to a law enforcement officer from an earlier flight, but APD reported investigators have not confirmed the owner and the magazine remains in police custody.
