LN4 Fusion Secures Sole New Formula 2 Entry for 2027

Taking over AIX Racing’s F2 slot, LN4 Fusion must finalise two drivers, build an experienced technical team, and ready itself for the revised 2027 car.

Overview

  • Formula 2 confirmed LN4 Fusion as the only new team for the 2027–2029 cycle on Wednesday, keeping the championship at 11 teams and a 22‑car grid.
  • LN4 Fusion acquired selected assets from AIX Racing and will race under an Italian licence as it replaces that incumbent entry.
  • The team has already announced its 2027 Formula 3 drivers — James Egozi, Gabriel Gomez and Dion Gowda — but has not yet named its two F2 drivers.
  • LN4 has recruited experienced personnel from Prema and Fusion karting, including Rene Rosin and Guillaume Capietto, to speed up car development and operations.
  • The entry gives Lando Norris’s junior programme a direct route to the final step before F1 and raises the stakes as teams prepare for a revised F2 car in 2027.
