LLWS Bracket Tightens as Mets-Mariners Classic Gears Up at Bowman Field

Tonight’s Mets-Mariners matchup at Bowman Field in Williamsport will air on ESPN with an alternate kids-focused simulcast on ESPN2 alongside ongoing LLWS elimination games.

Overview

  • Braintree (Massachusetts) was eliminated Sunday morning after a 3-2 loss to Washington, while Clarendon Hills (Illinois) rallied for a 3-2 victory to remain in the double-elimination LLWS bracket.
  • The eighth annual MLB Little League Classic between the New York Mets (home team) and Seattle Mariners is set for about 7:10 p.m. ET tonight at the 2,366-seat Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.
  • ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball will carry the main Classic telecast with play-by-play and analysis, and ESPN2 will offer a youth-hosted ‘KidsCast’; both broadcasts stream live on the ESPN app and platforms such as Fubo.
  • Bowman Field was outfitted with additional seating, new irrigation and adjusted outfield dimensions in advance of the Classic to create an intimate setting focused on youth World Series participants.
  • First held in 2017 to conclude MLB Players’ Weekend, the Little League Classic brings big leaguers to Williamsport and underscores MLB’s commitment to engaging directly with Little League World Series players and their families.
