Overview
- The bank confirmed 40 Lloyds Bank sites and 15 Halifax locations will shut across 2026, with 16 Lloyds and 8 Halifax branches scheduled for January.
- January closures include Lloyds branches in Alfreton and New Addington on 1 January and Hedon on 28 January, plus Halifax sites in Deal and Hastings on 22 January and Skipton on 26 January.
- Lloyds says more than 21 million customers now use its apps, which it cites as the key reason for reducing in-person services.
