- Brian Dietzen appears in the first episode as Dr. Jimmy Palmer and showrunner Byron Balasco has signaled the show will allow measured crossovers with other NCIS entries.
- The cast includes Jennifer Beals, Jacqueline Byers, Shane Harper and Devin Druid, and CBS is positioning the show inside a multi-hour NCIS night to draw franchise viewers and support next-day streaming.
