- Brian Johnson, known online as the Liver King, was taken into custody at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin on June 24 after posting videos challenging Joe Rogan to a fight.
- In Instagram clips he declared “man to man” combat despite having no jiu-jitsu training and invited Rogan to set the rules and location.
- Austin detectives contacted Rogan, who said he had never met Johnson and considered the posts to be threatening.
