Overview

  • The venue will sit between the Delta Center and the Salt Palace and serve as the centerpiece of a planned sports, entertainment, culture and convention district.
  • SEG and Live Nation project roughly 200 events annually, including about 100 concerts plus corporate, conference and community functions.
  • Salt Lake County approved SEG’s $55.4 million purchase of 12 Salt Palace parcels, with legal possession expected by February 2027.
  • The project advances alongside a multiyear Delta Center overhaul, including a new retractable lower-bowl seating system and a renovation budget reported at roughly $900 million.
  • Live Nation calls Utah a strong live-music market and points to similar mid-sized venues in sports districts such as Boston’s MGM Music Hall and Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy.
