  • The syrup was recalled after FDA testing found possible Bacillus cereus contamination in five production lots.
  • Affected bottles bear lot numbers 0039, 0545, 0640, 0450 and 1198 with expiration dates from November 2025 through December 2026.
  • The product was sold nationwide in retail stores and online from December 14, 2022, to June 4, 2025.
  • Bacillus cereus can trigger food-borne illnesses marked by nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or diarrhea and may be fatal at high concentrations.
  • Medtech Products Inc. is offering full refunds and advises consumers to stop using the syrup and contact a healthcare provider if they experience any symptoms.
