Overview

  • Fresh & Ready Foods LLC has voluntarily recalled more than 80 ready-to-eat products with use-by dates from April 22 to May 19, 2025.
  • The recalled items were distributed in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Washington, including at hospitals, hotels, convenience stores, airports, and airlines.
  • The FDA reopened its investigation in April 2025 after environmental samples from Fresh & Ready Foods matched the outbreak strain using genome sequencing.
  • Of the 10 reported cases, eight hospitalizations occurred in California and two in Nevada, with patient samples collected from December 2023 to September 2024.
  • Consumers and retailers are advised to clean and sanitize surfaces exposed to the recalled products as listeria can spread easily, posing severe risks to vulnerable populations.
