Lisette Olivera joined 'FBI' as a series regular for Season 7 but is leaving after filming only a few episodes.
Olivera's character, Syd Ortiz, was meant to be a new partner for John Boyd's Stuart Scola following the departure of Katherine Rebee Kane's Tiffany Wallace.
Concerns were raised that Olivera, aged 25, appeared too young for the authoritative role of an FBI Special Agent alongside the 43-year-old Boyd.
Olivera's first appearance as Syd Ortiz is scheduled for Episode 4 of Season 7, set to air on November 12.
It remains unclear whether 'FBI' will introduce a new permanent partner for Scola following Olivera's exit.
