Lisa Buckwitz secured her second win in three Monobob World Cup races this season at her home event in Winterberg, Germany.
She achieved two start best times and set a new track record of 58.25 seconds during her final run, finishing ahead of Switzerland's Melanie Hasler and Australia's Breeana Walker.
Buckwitz, representing BRC Thüringen, noted small errors in her performance and attributed her slower start to intensive training in the weeks leading up to the race.
Laura Nolte, last year’s Monobob World Champion on the same track, finished fifth, citing issues with a specific curve that hindered her recovery during the race.
Kim Kalicki, another German competitor, placed eighth, while Buckwitz's victory solidified her lead in the overall World Cup standings.
