Lionsgate Appoints Kathleen Grace as Its First Chief AI Officer

The former Vermillio strategist will steer AI adoption across workflows with a mandate to safeguard IP.

Overview

Grace will report to CEO Jon Feltheimer and join the studio’s senior decision‑making team.
Her remit includes delivering AI tools for filmmakers, driving efficiencies across production, marketing, distribution and administrative work, and protecting studio and talent IP.
She will work closely with Vice Chairman Michael Burns and senior leaders on execution.
The role advances Lionsgate’s AI program following its 2024 Runway partnership to train a proprietary model for creative use.
Feltheimer has highlighted productivity gains and cost savings from AI but insists deployment requires appropriate guardrails.
