Lions Sign QB Teddy Bridgewater as Backup to Jared Goff

Veteran QB Teddy Bridgewater has signed with the Detroit Lions and is expected to serve as the backup to starter Jared Goff.
Bridgewater reunites with Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who previously coached him when they were with the New Orleans Saints.
The signing adds depth to the Lions' quarterback room, which currently includes Goff, Nate Sudfeld, and rookie Hendon Hooker.
Bridgewater has started at least one game in seven of his eight NFL seasons, amassing a 33-32 record as a starter over his career.
The Lions have not won their division title in 30 years and hope Bridgewater can help lead them to success this season.
