The celebration took place during a pregame ceremony before a friendly match against New York City FC, where Messi held the trophy aloft as fireworks lit up the sky.
MLS Commissioner Don Garber and Inter Miami owners Jorge and Jose Mas were present at the ceremony, with Garber stating that Inter Miami fans have the best player who's ever played the game.
Messi, who joined Inter Miami earlier this year, expressed his gratitude to the people of Miami for making him and his family feel at home.
Looking forward to 2024, Messi is optimistic about the upcoming season and aims to win more titles with Inter Miami, which will compete in the Leagues Cup, U.S. Open Cup, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup in addition to the MLS.
