Line Fire Flare-Up Forces New Evacuations in Southern California

Residents in San Bernardino County were ordered to evacuate as the wildfire surged over the weekend, with the blaze now 83% contained.

Evacuation orders were issued for Seven Oaks, with warnings for Angelus Oaks and Boulder Bay near Big Bear Lake.
The Line Fire has spread over 62.6 square miles and has threatened more than 65,000 homes since it began on September 5.
Justin Wayne Halstenberg, 34, has been charged with 11 arson-related crimes in connection to the fire.
Four firefighters have been injured while battling the blaze, which remains difficult to control due to steep terrain.
Authorities have set up evacuation centers and closed multiple highways as temperatures are expected to rise this week.
