Overview
- On Thursday Lindsey Vonn posted a summer‑recap on Instagram that includes multiple intimate photos with French skier Matthieu Bailet, which outlets reported as a public confirmation of their relationship.
- One image shows Vonn and Bailet kissing in a pool, and the two exchanged affectionate comments and emojis under the post.
- The pairing was first reported as developing in May after the two were seen together in New York, but Vonn had not publicly confirmed the relationship until the Instagram post.
- Matthieu Bailet is a 30‑year‑old French World Cup speed‑disciplines specialist with more than 100 World Cup starts and prior Olympic and world championship experience.
- Vonn has been documenting her rehabilitation after a serious February Olympic downhill crash and faces another operation this autumn, and peers publicly reacted to the Instagram reveal while the pair’s shared sport background may shape their public roles going forward.
