Lincoln Square Man Faces First-Degree Murder Charge in Wife's Stabbing

  • Nurmuhammed Inus, 35, is accused of fatally stabbing his wife, Mairunnisa B. Osman, 29, late Saturday night in Lincoln Square, Chicago.
  • The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed Osman died of multiple sharp force injuries, ruling her death a homicide.
  • Inus allegedly fled the scene in a blue 2016 Honda and later contacted relatives, stating he intended to turn himself in to police.
  • He was arrested late Saturday night at the 20th District police station and is charged with first-degree murder.
  • The couple’s four daughters, including a 12-year-old who identified Inus as the perpetrator, are left in the aftermath of this family tragedy.
