Overview

• Officers responded on Saturday afternoon to a complaint at Mvudi Park in Thohoyandou, where SAPS divers recovered a woman’s body from the Muledane River.
• The victim, believed to be 19 to 21, was found naked with her hands and legs bound and a 5 kg mealie bag filled with stones tied to her legs.
• Police reported advanced decomposition along with missing body parts and cuts on both feet, leaving the body unidentified.
• The remains were taken to Forensic Pathology Services for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
