Overview
- ATU confirmed the Tarjeta Interoperable de Transporte (TIT) will be mandatory to enter and exit the first operational stretch of Línea 2 starting July 8, 2026.
- The TIT goes on sale from July 1 at ticket offices and vending machines in the five active stations — Evitamiento, Óvalo Santa Anita, Colectora Industrial, Hermilio Valdizán and Mercado Santa Anita — for S/7.50 during service hours of 06:00–23:00.
- During the current marcha blanca testing phase ATU said card validations at station entry and exit will not deduct fares, so users will not need to recharge the card to use the service.
- Police officers, volunteer firefighters and people with disabilities who hold the CONADIS yellow card may obtain or renew the TIT free at station ticket offices.
- The TIT will carry encrypted security keys, record validations, recharges and user profiles, and ATU presents the rollout as an initial technical step toward integrating fare payment across Lima–Callao public transport while Línea 2 completes its broader corridor connections that will cut cross-city travel times.
