Lima Sets Transit Detours for Señor de los Milagros as Callao Return Is Confirmed

ATU detailed Metropolitano changes with temporary stops to handle large crowds expected from a six‑date October itinerary.

Overview

  • For the first procession on Saturday, October 4 at noon, Metropolitano service A will run via avenida Alfonso Ugarte with stops at Dos de Mayo, Quilca and España, while service C will terminate at estación Central.

  • Corredor Azul and Morado units will follow published detours, with temporary paraderos set on avenida Nicolás de Piérola near the Tacna intersection and Plaza Dos de Mayo to ease access and exit.
  • The Hermandad confirmed a simultaneous levantada on October 4 at 12:00 p.m. (Peru time), with dozens of brotherhoods in Peru and abroad lifting the anda at the same moment.
  • On Sunday, October 26, the image will travel to Callao for the first time in about 22 years using the Nazareno Móvil, a Mercedes‑Benz Actros, following a route that includes Nicolás de Piérola, Óscar R. Benavides, La Marina and Guardia Chalaca.
