Lima Sets First Señor de los Milagros Procession for Oct. 4 With Simultaneous ‘Levantada Mundial’

Transport agencies have posted detours across Corredor routes, with Metropolitano adjustments for the opening route.

Overview

  • The inaugural route begins at the Santuario de las Nazarenas and follows Av. Tacna, Av. Emancipación, Jr. Chancay and Jr. Conde de Superunda before returning to the sanctuary.
  • At 12:00 p.m., Cardinal Carlos Castillo will signal the coordinated global lift, with live transmission on RPP, Canal HN, Nazarenas TV and the Arzobispado’s platforms.
  • RPP will run a special multiplatform broadcast from 11:30 a.m., with coverage of the Lima procession and the simultaneous worldwide levantada.
  • ATU advises Oct. 4 changes: Corredor Morado terminates at Jr. Virú; Corredor Azul reroutes via Av. Garcilaso de la Vega, Av. Nicolás de Piérola and Av. Alfonso Ugarte; Metropolitano Route C ends at Estación Central while Route A operates normally.
  • Reports differ on how many hermandades will take part in the global lift—cited figures include 52, 60 and 64—within a six‑outing program that also features a Nazareno Móvil visit to Callao on Oct. 26 after 22 years.
