Lima Districts Roll Out Free DNIe 3.0 Through February Under Reniec Campaign

A Reniec resolution funds 470,000 complimentary electronic IDs in 2026 to strengthen voter identification ahead of the April elections.

  • Reniec’s 2026 program authorizes up to 470,000 free DNIe 3.0, financed from its budget and directed to prioritized populations tied to the electoral calendar.
  • Comas is running the service from January 7 to February 13 at the Palacio Municipal (Av. España cuadra 4, P.J. La Libertad km 11) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with limited daily slots.
  • In Comas, applicants should bring the DNI to renew or a copy of a lost DNI or a birth certificate; minors must attend with a parent, proof of address is needed for domicile updates, and people with disabilities must present a Conadis card copy.
  • Villa El Salvador offers January service at the Explanada Villa del Adulto Mayor (Av. Central with Av. Bolívar) on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for minors 0–16, 17-year-olds, and people with disabilities.
  • San Juan de Lurigancho provides January–February service at the Subgerencia de Programas Sociales (Av. El Bosque 311, Canto Grande) on weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., capped at 50 slots per day for minors 0–16, adults 60+, and people with disabilities; eligibility also includes newborns served by Minsa/EsSalud, organ-donor adults, and Armed Forces and National Police personnel.
