Lil Uzi Vert Signs Roc Nation Distribution and Publishing Deals, Drops ‘Chanel Boy’ and ‘Relevant’

The arrangement preserves ownership of masters, placing the star alongside Jay-Z and Rihanna as one of Roc Nation’s rare dual-distribution clients.

Overview

  • Uzi will fully own their masters under new partnerships with Roc Nation Distribution and Roc Nation Publishing.
  • The Philly rapper is no longer signed to Atlantic Records, with Eternal Atake 2 in November 2024 the final release under that setup.
  • Two new singles arrived Nov. 24 with videos: “Chanel Boy” produced by ZeeGoinXrazy and “Relevant” produced by Trillion, Rima, and Trilla.
  • With this signing, Uzi joins Jay-Z and Rihanna as one of only three artists both managed by Roc Nation and signed to its distribution arm.
  • Roc Nation Distribution president Krystian Santini said the deal centers on full creative control backed by resources to reach new heights.
