Overview

• LAPD officers responded around 4 a.m. on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City after reports of a semi-naked man behaving erratically captured on widely shared video.
• Footage published by TMZ shows the 26-year-old wearing only underwear and cowboy boots and at one point placing an orange traffic cone on his head.
• Police detained him and, suspecting a drug overdose, had paramedics transport him to a hospital for evaluation before releasing him to custody.
• After several hours of medical observation he was booked at the Valley jail in Van Nuys on suspicion of obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor, following allegations he charged at police.
• Authorities say formal charging decisions will follow medical evaluation, and his representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
