- Lightship, a San Francisco-based startup, unveiled the production-ready AE.1 electric travel trailer, starting with the premium Cosmos Edition priced at $250,000.
- The AE.1 features a TrekDrive system, which uses an electric motor to minimize range loss for EVs and improve fuel efficiency for gas-powered tow vehicles.
- Equipped with an 80 kWh battery and a full-solar roof, the AE.1 enables silent, all-electric off-grid camping without the need for propane or gas generators.
- The Cosmos Edition includes luxury amenities such as a full bathroom, an automotive-grade HVAC system, and a fully outfitted kitchen with high-end appliances.
- Production of the initial 50 Cosmos units will begin in summer 2025, followed by three additional trims—Atmos, Panos, and Terros—with varying features and price points.
