• Liga MX is formally analyzing a proposal to expand its top division from 18 to 20 clubs.
• The idea follows arbitration claims by Liga de Expansión MX clubs contesting the suspension of ascenso and descenso on sporting merit grounds.
• A Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing on those promotion disputes is set for September and the final ruling is expected in December.
