Lifeguard, a Chicago-based post-punk trio, will release their debut album 'Ripped and Torn' on June 6, 2025, through Matador Records.
The album features the lead single 'It Will Get Worse,' described as a defining track that blends the band’s raw energy with a more hook-driven sound.
The band, consisting of Asher Case, Isaac Lowenstein, and Kai Slater, has roots in Chicago’s DIY scene and gained recognition with their earlier EPs 'Dressed in Trenches' and 'Crowd Can Talk.'
An international summer tour will support the album, beginning on June 6 in Berlin and including shows across Europe and the United States.
The album was recorded in Chicago with producer Randy Randall, emphasizing Lifeguard’s evolution while maintaining their dynamic, grassroots spirit.
