Overview
- An opening Mass and unveiling at 7 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Des Plaines will stream on the NBC Chicago and Telemundo websites.
- The life-sized sculpture and related reproductions were blessed by Basilica Rector Monsignor Efraín Hernández Díaz, according to the Chicago Archdiocese.
- The local schedule places the sculpture at the Des Plaines shrine through Sept. 30, St. Gall Parish from Oct. 1–14, and Mother of the Americas Parish from Oct. 15–28.
- Weekday visits are free with required registration, and programming includes original music and narrated reflections on the Tepeyac apparitions.
- Organizers say the tour will continue internationally with stops planned in the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Colombia and other countries ahead of the 2031 Jubilee.
