Lidl Recalls XXL Sondey Stroopwafel in UK Over Possible Metal Contamination

Regulators say the 560g packs are unsafe to eat due to suspected metal in three specified best-before batches.

Overview

  • The recall covers Sondey XXL Stroopwafel with Caramel Flavour Filling & Butter in 560g packs dated 21 November 2025, 02 December 2025 and 03 December 2025.
  • Shoppers are advised not to eat the product and to return it to any Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
  • The Food Standards Agency confirmed the product is unsafe to consume because of the potential presence of metal foreign bodies.
  • Lidl has posted point-of-sale notices in stores and directed customers with questions to customer.care@lidl.co.uk or 0203 966 5566.
  • Lidl says no other Sondey items are affected, with this action following earlier 2025 recalls linked to potential metal contamination.
