• The recall covers the “XXL Sondey Butterwaffeln mit Sirup” in the 560 g pack supplied by Biscuit International.
• Only products with minimum shelf-life dates 09.12.2025, 15.12.2025, 16.12.2025, 17.12.2025 and 22.12.2025 are affected.
• The waffles were sold nationwide except in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, according to the BVL portal.
• Returns are accepted at all Lidl stores with a full refund even without a receipt, and queries can be directed to 00800 5435 5435.
• Authorities warn metal fragments can injure the mouth, esophagus or gastrointestinal tract, and Lidl says no other Sondey or Biscuit International products are included in the recall.
