- Supplier Sicily Food initiated the recall after Listeria monocytogenes was detected during checks.
- The affected item is Sansibar Deluxe Thunfisch Carpaccio, 100 g, limited to use-by dates 27, 28 and 29 December 2025.
- The product was sold at Lidl in eleven states: Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thüringen.
- Lidl has removed the batches from sale and is accepting returns nationwide with full refunds even without proof of purchase.
- Health authorities warn that listeriosis can cause severe gastrointestinal and flu-like illness, posing particular danger to pregnant people, infants, older adults and immunocompromised individuals.
