Lidl, Aldi and Norma Set 500g Pasta to €0.69 in New Round of Price Cuts

Retailers cite falling input costs as the reason for the permanent cuts.

Overview

  • Lidl, Aldi and Norma marked many private‑label 500 g pasta packs down to €0.69 on October 2, declaring the prices permanent.
  • Aldi made the change immediately at Aldi Süd, with Aldi Nord to follow on Saturday, covering Cucina Nobile varieties such as spaghetti, penne and fusilli.
  • Lidl’s Combino range now lists staples like spaghetti, penne, fusilli, macaroni and linguine at €0.69, with XXL packs also reduced.
  • Norma priced its VILLA GUSTO spaghetti, penne, fusilli and macaroni at €0.69 and said this is its fourth reduction in recent weeks.
  • The new tags reflect cuts of roughly €0.10 per 500 g pack, or about 10–13% from prior €0.79 prices, and are presented as nationwide, uniform pricing.
