Liam Payne Inquest Delayed as UK Coroner Seeks Full Argentine Reports and Witness Accounts

The coroner says translated Argentine reports plus eyewitness accounts via the FCDO are required to complete the case.

  • Buckinghamshire Coroner’s Court has received the Argentine autopsy and an initial police scene report, which will now be formally translated.

  • The inquest has been adjourned to a further pre-inquest review scheduled for 7 May 2026 at 10 a.m.
  • Authorities have confirmed the medical cause of death as multiple injuries from a fall from a third-floor balcony, and an Argentine court earlier dropped criminal negligence charges against three of five defendants while other proceedings continue.
