- Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson announced he will induct his grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024.
- Maivia was one of the first-ever female wrestling promoters, taking over Polynesian Pro Wrestling after her husband's death.
- Her induction ceremony will take place on April 5, following SmackDown at the Wells Fargo Center.
- Maivia's induction rounds out a class that includes Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, Muhammad Ali, the US Express, and Thunderbolt Patterson.
- The Rock and Roman Reigns will headline WrestleMania 40, with many members of the Anoa'i family participating in the event.
