LG to Showcase CLOiD Home Robot at CES 2026

The two-armed assistant targets household chores with dexterous hands powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence to advance the company’s Zero Labor Home vision.

Overview

  • LG confirmed its first public demonstration of CLOiD at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6–9, with demonstrations at booth #15004 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
  • CLOiD features two articulated arms with seven degrees of freedom each and five individually actuated fingers per hand for precise, human-like manipulation.
  • A head-mounted chipset serves as the processing hub alongside a display, speaker, camera, and multiple sensors for expressive interaction, voice control, and home navigation.
  • The robot is optimized for typical living spaces, can adapt to residents’ schedules, and can control connected LG AI appliances to deliver personalized assistance.
  • LG formed the HS Robotics Lab to consolidate robotics development and, according to reported agreements, is collaborating with Robotis and KIST while investing in startups including Figure AI and AGIbot.
