  • Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha convened the 49th Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board meeting at Raj Bhawan to evaluate preparedness across all line departments.
  • The board reviewed disaster preparedness protocols, insurance coverage, telecom connectivity and a digital prepaid system to enhance pilgrim services.
  • Deadlines were set for upgrading yatra tracks, establishing Yatri Niwas and transit camps, and expanding lodging capacity along the route.
  • Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari presented detailed arrangements and confirmed that over 331,000 devotees have registered for this year’s yatra.
  • The pilgrimage is scheduled to begin on July 3 via the Pahalgam and Baltal routes and conclude on August 9 with Raksha Bandhan observances.
