Overview
- LG announced four Xboom speakers—the Stage 501, Blast, Mini, and Rock—developed with will.i.am, with a public showcase scheduled for Jan. 6–9 at CES in Las Vegas; pricing and release dates remain undisclosed.
- The flagship Stage 501 centers on an AI Karaoke Master that removes or adjusts vocals from virtually any song and shifts pitch without karaoke-specific files, though early testing notes weaker results on dense or heavily processed mixes.
- The Stage 501 features a five-sided design with dual woofers and full-range drivers, a swappable 99Wh battery rated up to 25 hours, and output listed at 160W on battery or up to 220W when plugged in.
- All models use on-device AI to adjust EQ and lighting, while the Stage 501 and Blast add Space Calibration Pro; LG also includes FYI.RAiDiO with AI personas and DJ profiles for music discovery.
- The Blast targets outdoor use with edge bumpers, two handles, and up to 35 hours of playback, while the Mini and Rock offer 10-hour runtimes, with IP67 for the Mini and Bluetooth Auracast plus rugged, military-tested durability for the Rock.
