Overview
- LG Energy Solution disclosed Tuesday that third-quarter consolidated revenue rose to KRW 9.6 trillion and operating profit climbed to KRW 756 billion while the company recorded a Q3 net loss of KRW 296.9 billion.
- The firm said KRW 416.9 billion in U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit benefits materially supported operating results and that excluding those credits operating profit fell to about KRW 339.1 billion for the quarter.
- LG is accelerating a pivot to energy storage systems by increasing ESS shipments, securing its first direct Behind‑the‑Meter BESS contract for a major tech customer, and qualifying as an NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS partner.
- To support the ESS push the company reiterated expanded North American targets, aiming for more than 50 GWh of LFP cell capacity by the end of December and over 70 GWh of ESS plus more than 20 GWh of cylindrical capacity by end‑2027.
- LG is locking down upstream supplies and localizing production by diversifying LFP cathode suppliers, securing lithium feedstock agreements, restarting and expanding U.S. lines in Arizona, Ohio and Poland, and scaling joint‑venture plants to reduce supply risk and meet policy-driven demand.
