LG Debuts 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED Displays

LG’s multi-layer stacking technique boosts panel brightness to 4,000 nits, signaling a new frontier in monitor performance.

Overview

  • LG unveiled three prototype panels at the COEX exhibition in Seoul, showcasing its latest fourth-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology.
  • The flagship 83-inch display delivers a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, the highest level achieved on an OLED panel to date.
  • A 27-inch gaming monitor uses Dynamic Frequency & Resolution technology to run native 1440p at 540 Hz or 1080p at 720 Hz and reaches up to 1,500 nits with 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage.
  • The 45-inch prototype offers a 5K2K (5120×2160) resolution on an OLED panel, setting a new benchmark for pixel density and detail.
  • LG says partner brands will integrate these panels into monitor designs in 2026, with pricing and availability details still to be confirmed.
