Overview
- The TZ, which Lexus unveiled Thursday, launches as a three-row, six-seat EV above the RZ and rides on a reworked Toyota Highlander BEV architecture.
- A dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup makes about 402 hp, with 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh battery options and a target of roughly 300 miles EPA or up to about 530 km WLTP.
- DC fast charging peaks at 150 kW for an estimated 10–80% refill in about 35 minutes, with NACS in North America for Tesla Supercharger access and CCS2 in other regions.
- Lexus centers a “Driving Lounge” cabin with second-row captain’s chairs, extensive sound insulation, sustainable trim, and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, plus optional rear-axle steering.
- Production will be split between Georgetown, Kentucky for North America and Miyata, Japan for Europe and Asia, with U.S. dealer arrivals planned for late 2026 and other markets in early 2027.
