Lexus Retires LS in U.S. After 2026, Farewells With 250-Unit Heritage Edition

The flagship exits after a prolonged sales slide following a stagnant generation.

Overview

  • The 2026 LS 500 Heritage Edition will be the model’s final U.S. offering, limited to 250 units at $99,280 and arriving later this fall.
  • Finished exclusively in Ninety Noir with an LS-first Rioja Red interior, the send-off adds 20-inch split-spoke wheels, embroidered headrests, and an etched console emblem.
  • Power comes from a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 416 hp and 442 lb-ft with a 10-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, with a Lexus-quoted 0–60 mph time of about 4.6 seconds.
  • Lexus confirms the hybrid LS 500h is already gone from the U.S. lineup, and the Heritage Edition becomes the sole LS variant for 2026.
  • U.S. sales fell to 691 units in the first half of 2025, down 42.3% year over year, and Lexus has not announced a direct replacement for the LS; Canada receives about five units.
