Lexi Reese Withdraws from California Senate Race

Former tech executive cites fundraising difficulties and calls for political reform in her exit statement.

Lexi Reese, a former tech executive from California, has ended her campaign for the U.S. Senate seat once held by the late Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Reese cited the difficulty of raising the necessary funds for a first-time candidate to introduce herself to voters in the nation's most populous state.
Despite raising over $1.8 million for the race, including over $500,000 she and her husband contributed, Reese was unable to break into the top tier of candidates.
Reese called for term limits and campaign finance reform, stating that career politicians have institutional, press, and party support that is difficult to replicate as an outsider.
Despite her withdrawal, Reese remains optimistic about the potential for change with the right leaders, and urged her party to focus on the issues that most Americans care about.
