The series, produced by Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, will follow Elle Woods during her teenage years, showcasing the experiences that shaped her iconic personality.
Minetree, known for roles in 'The Murdaugh Murders' and 'Law & Order: SVU,' was chosen after a nationwide open casting call.
Laura Kittrell, creator of the series, will serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside Witherspoon and other producers from Amazon MGM Studios.
Production for 'Elle' is set to begin in March, with the series streaming on Amazon Prime Video, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
